I loved its good-sized and huge rooms.
The hotel was beautiful little with excellent breakfasted and a nice location pretty close to everything else you want to see in the area. Everyone was outstandingly helpful as well as host.

Everyone here was delightfully helpful.
Loved our stay in this hotel. Had a very peaceful stay for Poas visit, everything was perfect. The location on the impressive hillside was best possible and comfy for us. And we were close enough to The Valley and across, the Poas Volcano National Park, La Paz waterfall gardens and several coffee plantations, and mountain. The breakfast had lots of tasty options, and was delicious and amazing...

The view from this hotel is absolutely breathtaking. I could see all the way from the Pacific coast to Cartago. It's a perfect spot to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. The food at the hotel was delicious, especially the burger - it was the best I've had in Costa Rica. The staff, Matthew and Leah, were incredibly welcoming and made me feel at home. They were very accommodating and provided helpful tips for visiting Mount Poas, which was close by. I highly recommend this hotel for its stunning view, tasty food, and friendly staff.

Guests can enjoy stunning views down the valley to San Jose and the surrounding plains. The rooms are clean and well-equipped, ensuring a comfortable stay. The hosts, Matthew and Leah, provide excellent service and are always attentive to the needs of their guests. The food served at the lodge, prepared by Leah, is delicious and reasonably priced.
The front of the lodge appears run-down, which may give a negative first impression to some guests.

The value for money at Poas Lodge was outstanding. The room was cozy and comfortable, with a lovely warm bed and beautiful views from the communal area and our room. The location was perfect, quiet and relaxing. The staff, Jimmie and Stephan, made us feel like we were in a friend's home with their warm welcome and attentive service.
Hotel breakfast could have had more variety.
